The medieval village of Étroubles has transformed into an open-air museum, a permanent art gallery featuring works by world-renowned artists in collaboration with the Gianadda Foundation of Martigny.

Among the Italian artists, there are: the painter and sculptor Salvatore Sebaste, a prominent figure in Southern Italian art, as well as the sculptors Alberto Gambale and Sergio Zanni from Ferrara, the painter Carlo Brenna from Milan, and Andrea Granchi from Florence. Among the French artists, there are Albert Féraud, the most renowned living French sculptor, Guido Magnone and the painter Evelyne Otis Bacchi. The French features also a work by the recently deceased painter and set designer Norbert Verzotto, kindly donated by his family. Among the Swiss artists, there are

Hans Erni, the most famous Swiss artist, and Yves Dana. Assaf Mekhtiev, originally from Azerbaijan and residing in Aosta, is also featured. 

The path is opened and closed by wooden sculptures by artists Giulio Schiavon and Siro Viérin from the Aosta Valley, with additional creations by Chicco Margaroli and Franco Balan.

In 2006, two works by Italo Bolano, an artist from Elba Island, were introduced. In addition, in 2010, there was the inauguration of the works created by Michel Favre from Martigny and Chicco Margaroli from Aosta. These two works embellish Emile Chanoux Square, located in the pedestrian area.

Since 2007, Étroubles has been organizing temporary exhibitions in the summer season featuring the most prominent artists of the past two centuries, including Artigas, César, Chagall, Chillida, Christo, Claudel, Daumier, Degas, Debuffet, Erni, Favre, Diego and Alberto Giacometti, Graetz, Lobo, Maillol, Pernalba, Picasso, Poncet, Raboud, Rodin, and Szafran.
